Venue: the House of Prayer Retreat Center at St. John’s University in St. Joseph, MN (90 minutes northeast of Minneapolis). Nestled in a quiet forest setting, the energy is light and open, the accommodations basic, but comfortable and modern. There’s a virtual tour of the space here. Typical dietary restrictions can be addressed; please note on your Application.

What you’ll learn:

  1. How to prepare yourself physically, mentally and emotionally for the work of a medium.
  2. How we are energetically connected to others and to Spirit.
  3. How to open and close your energy body safely.
  4. How to distinguish between self-talk and Spirit communication.
  5. How to develop or “unfold” your innate psychic and mediumistic abilities and to bring messages from Spirit.

What you’ll experience:

  1. Group discussions on “The Big Ideas” regarding the nature and journey of the soul through life and “death.”
  2. Short lectures on mediumship basics.
  3. Workshop-style exercises exploring physical body energy systems and psychic abilities.
  4. Building a step-by-step evidential mediumship foundation.
  5. Practicing One-on-One partner readings.
  6. Sitting in Development Circles (practice bringing Spirit messages to circle participants).
  7. Deep meditations and Soul Journeys through Regression Hypnosis – an exploration of your Soul Self and Life Goals.

Your personal commitment: Prior to arriving at the retreat, you’ll be provided a reading list to work through and recommended meditation strategies to adopt. These resources will enhance your ability to contribute to group discussions on the journey of the soul, what happens when one dies, how mediumistic communication is possible, etc. As in all studies, good preparation and diving deeply into the work will translate into more rapid development of your psychic and mediumistic abilities. Trust me, it will be worth it!

It’s not just a retreat, it’s a beginning

Continuity of training with respect to mediumship is key to the development of mediumistic abilities. Following on from the retreat, for those interested in continuing to develop and unfold their abilities, will be development circles and classes via Zoom several times a month (for a minimal fee.)

Retreat cost per person including program, room and meals:*

Single room/shared bath: $1400
Double room/shared bath: $1200

*Transportation to/from retreat center is not included; door-to-door shuttle via Groome Transportation from Minneapolis/St. Paul Int’l Airport is available.

Payment Policy

  • The full retreat fee is due at the time of registration. Your space in the retreat is not reserved until payment is received. An email with payment information will be sent to you after receipt of your registration form. (Click APPLY button on the left side of your screen.)

Cancellations and Refunds

  • If you cancel your retreat reservation more than three weeks before the start of the retreat, Whispers will refund your payment, minus a $50 cancellation fee to cover admin costs.
  • If you cancel your retreat reservation with 2-3 weeks’ notice, Whispers will issue a refund of 50% of your payment.
  • If you cancel your retreat reservation with less than a one-week notice, no refund will be issued. We may be able to make an exception to this policy if your reserved space in the retreat is filled. We will review these situations on a case-by-case basis.
  • If Whispers needs to cancel the retreat for any reason, we will issue a full refund.
